The Central Hornsey and District Allotments and Horticultural Society is a society of local allotment holders and gardeners. Allotment holders come mainly from the sites at Shepherds Hill and Alexandra Palace. Gardeners come from across the surrounding area of the borough of Haringey. It holds an annual flower and produce show and arranges a trip for members to a place of 'growing' interest in the summer. Members are able to purchase a wide variety of goods from the trading sheds at the Shepherds Hill and Alexandra Palace allotments, many of which are difficult to obtain elsewhere, and all of which are very competitively priced.

GCAA

The Golf Course Allotment Association (GCAA) represents members from the Golf Course Allotments on Winton Avenue, London N11. We are a large, long established allotment with over 200 plots maintained by a culturally diverse community growing a wide variety of flowers, fruit and vegetables - and some of us are working toward organic cultivation. We are affiliated with the RHS and the NSALG (National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners). The Golf Course Allotments are owned by Haringey Council, but run essentially by the GCAA. We provide a trading shed where seeds, potatoes, onions and other horticultural supplies can be bought by subscribing members. We also have a community hut in which various events are held.

Hampstead Garden Suburb Horticultural Society

The Hampstead Garden Suburb Horticultural Society exists to 'encourage the enjoyment of gardening in the cultivation of flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables, flower-arrangements and culinary skills, by way of exhibitions, lectures [and] discussions...' There are also outings, quizzes and a 'Gardening Buddy Scheme'. The Society was founded by Dame Henrietta Barnett and early residents in 1909 and is therefore celebrating its centenary this year with an enhanced programme of events catering for all levels of gardening interest and horticultural expertise. Members of other Horticultural Societies, new members and visitors are always welcome to join the Society's outings or take part in its events. The Society holds three shows a year, and in 2009 will also hold a Centenary Festival of Roses in July and create a new flowerbed in Hampstead Garden Suburb for the community to enjoy.

Highgate Horticultural Society

Highgate Horticultural Society was founded in 1859 . It has a lively and active membership and holds three flower and produce shows a year as well as other social events. Membership of the society entitles you to exhibit at the shows, participate in the events and discounts at local garden centres.
